Our programs so far have included: Spiral, Swirl, Twirl - a playful hanging spiral installation made from decorated15cm Styrofoam balls hosted in conjunction with Naidoc Week, Talking Heads – all 40 x 30cm portraits produced in metal, paint, egg cartons etc. where artists had their own works displayed amongst those by artists such as William Robinson, Margaret Olley and an original Picasso – all from the gallery’s own permanent collection. Another program, My Place, My Collection [a 20 year birthday celebration incorporating the permanent collection], involved creating micro-collections made from slide mounts. Participants used tea bags, photography, etchings, painting and collage to interpret their chosen work from the collection. We’d love for you to get involved, so keep an eye out for what’s happening at the gallery.
