Calling all local artists!

The Local Art Prize is a chance for our talented local artists residing within 100km of Stanthorpe to win a share of $5,000 in prizes.

Entries are across 7 categories, with a 1st and 2nd prize awarded for each:

• 2D (painting/oil/acrylic/

  watercolour/drawing etc)

• 3D (Ceramics/pottery/glass/

  sculpture)

• Indigenous artist

• Photography

• Fibre and textiles

• Applied art (any medium that isn’t covered above)

• Youth artist (artists aged 17 and under on 30 Jan 2026)

There will also be a Public Choice award and a Changeover Team Choice award.

Introducing in 2026 the Burton Family Futures Award for artists under 30. This award comes with a mentoring and training program worth $1,000 to help accelerate the winning artist’s career.

Entries must be delivered to the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery IN PERSON on Wednesday 14 or Thursday 15 January 2026 between 9am and 4pm.

The exhibition will be held from Friday 23 January - Sunday 15 March 2026.

Awards night is Friday 30 January at 6 pm and everyone is welcome to attend!
