Talk: 'In Conversation' with Mary Findlay, Director Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery
Mary will introduce you to the Gallery, its 2020 Exhibition and Events program, and conduct small group backroom tours of the ‘Collection storeroom’, for a first-hand look at some of the Treasures of the SRAG collection. $10 non-members $7 members. Includes a glass of champagne/wine.

An exciting exhibition which brings together the juxtaposed mediums of silk and steel: The beauty and exquisite gowns opposed with the harshness and creativity of metal sculpture. These works provoke and inform the viewer of their own life experiences, personal beliefs and values.

The Gallery will be closed for exhibition changeover & installation of the Stanthorpe Art Prize 2020 exhibition.
Stanthorpe Art Prize
This prize has been run biennially since 1972 and is one of the most valuable regional art prizes in Australia with $50,000 in prizes. Entries are open to artists across Australia. Any medium of artwork may be entered except those requiring visual display screens or other powered technologies. The theme is open. Shortlisted works will be on exhibition from Friday 5 June - Wednesday 29 July. All works will be available for purchase.

Come on a 2000km journey along the backroads and highways to discover the lost, abandoned and still standing old buildings and sheds in a series of paintings and drypoint engravings by Rhonda Armistead.
Janne Chew: Resonating Reflections
Janne Chew examines a variety of disciplines: Resin on glass and resin on wood makes up a substantial section of the work that explores the freedom of the medium and vibrant colour. To add to this vivid and fluid effect are a section of alcohol inks. Alongside the work in resin are a selection of acrylics on canvas, watercolour and pastel art.
Gayle Shaw: Seasons
Gayle’s interests lie in the natural environment which brings personal enjoyment and satisfaction. Nature and the surrounding splendour are the inspiration for this artist. Her feelings of wonder are expressed in the colourful glass objects through both simple and complex designs with the aim to evoke feelings of peace and resonate with the landscape.

Late Shift Big Band
The Late Shift Big Band is a 20 piece outfit based in Indooroopilly (inner west Brisbane). They entertain audiences with a vast repertoire of cabaret show music, under the direction of Mark Pradella. Entry by donation. This event is a fundraiser for the Rural Fire Brigade.
