Ever since there has been music, humanity has danced. So it stands to reason that dance music has its own secure place in the world. Come with us and experience the joy of dance music, from contemporary pieces like 'Twist and Shout' to more elegant tunes born in the classical era. You might recognise a gavotte, a jig or a waltz. You’ll definitely know the tunes that belong on a disco dance floor!

About the Ensemble

The Southern Downs String Ensemble is a wonderful combination of youth and experience, including students who are early in their musical journey and people who have made music their life. We welcome new members and practise on Mondays from 3.45pm to 5.15pm. A minimum of Grade 2 standard is preferred. Interested? Phone for more information: 0419 909 446.
