White-winged Chough (Corcorax melanorhamphos)

Conservation status: least concern

When I see Choughs, I always think of pianos. Scattered untidily on road margins, they strut back and forth, red-eyed, blackly garrulous and gregarious: they do everything together.

Drive by and they usually take to wing, fanning their beautiful black and white, key-like primaries.
