Allen Sutton and Ren (Grenville) Adsett invite you join them for an informal meet and greet to discuss Allen’s book of poems and Ren’s novel.

Allen Sutton’s poems create wonderful word pictures of a life lived looking both inwards and out. His words conjure both rolling rhythms of life’s hopes and dreams and dreads and scenes that may not be pretty and others that will make you reach for the tissues while many will bring tears of mirth. And yes, they all rhyme.

“Rupert’s Blues – Never Trust a Sunday” is Australian crime fiction noir with a large enough dose of humour.

When Rupert meets Adelaide Rodina, his life spins out of control. His laid back, half lunatic lifestyle suddenly becomes serious when the threat of torture and murder loom large.

Ren Adsett’s Manuscript Assessor writes – “You’re a bloody funny man, Ren, and this comes across in your writing. I love the laconic tone of the story and the way you choose your language. I wouldn’t like to change any of that because it is raw, gritty and it reflects an Australia that is precious to me.”

Copies of these books are available for $25.00 each at the launch or from Ren at rencells@bigpond.com
