Families and children in Stanthorpe can experience a range of exciting free hands-on art-making activities when the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern (QAGOMA) presents ‘Express Yourself: Art Activity Pop-Up’ at Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery.

This exciting project invites visitors to explore emotions through different activities such as dancing, drawing and digital media to create works that express thoughts, ideas and feeling.

Vipoo is a Thai-born, Melbourne-based ceramic artist who is interested in installation and audience participation.

Vipoo likes to make work that is beautiful, fun and adds a smile to people’s faces. He often incorporates flowers and imaginary characters in his practice.

Positivity, beauty and accessibility are important elements of his work, and he is particularly known for creating ceramic characters covered in flowers, called ‘flower bears’.

This exhibition-inspired art activity encourages visitors to consider the spectrum of human emotion with curiosity and an open mind.

Vipoo Srivilasa’s ‘Express Yourself: Art Activity Pop Up’ is a free QAGOMA Touring program available to regional Queensland communities.
