Coming from a rural background it seems logical that my art has always been in wood. My current interest is a form of woodwork called intarsia, which consists of cutting and shaping pieces of timber to make a picture, in effect a wood mosaic. I have tried several facets of woodworking, building, turning, carving, box making, jewellery making and now intarsia. I plan to continue to develop my reach to a standard that is to the best of my ability and will present the viewer with the same sense of satisfaction that I get from a finished piece.
