This work is a deliberate cross between industrial and African art, with all its simplicity and naivety. Just a mere presence in times when everything aims towards the provision of some kind of entertainment, my work makes a humble plea for silence and introversion.
One of the challenges presented to sculptors, particularly today, is how to present sculpture to a 21st Century public already heavily visually saturated? This question is at the core of my practice. Like a Zen Koan waiting to be answered, without the interference of the intellect.
