Carved stone (jade soapstone)

This was only my second stone sculpture, I discovered that I prefer working harder stone as it is more forgiving, making finer details more achievable. The difficulty in working with soapstone is in obtaining large enough pieces with which to work.
I have a background in art. It has been the one constant in my career. I have carved timber on a few occasions, have painted and been drawing since I can remember but have only been carving stone since August 2017.
