To me this painting shows the beauty at all stages of life, from the plump fullness of the dawn of youth to the delicate beauty of the twilight phase.
It excites me to sit and stare at a blank canvas with the imagination in overdrive, thinking about what it eventually will become. Revelling in the love of vivid colour and the human form, I have embraced contemporary, pop art and abstract styles. It continues to amaze me how changing the shade of a shadow on the face or body completely transforms its appearance and viewer’s perspective. Evolution is essential for any artist; don’t stand still — learn.
