After much research with illusive soluble salts as colorants on porcelain, I can predict the outcome of using these colorants to some degree of control. This pair of altered forms explores an all over botanic inspired pattern featuring the random qualities of this material as it responds to moisture.
My arts practice is primarily based on the medium of porcelain where I’ve utilised a diverse range of surfaces. Often I take inspiration from the materials and processes rather than working conceptually. Often my work themes around nature and botanicals as I’m a keen tropical gardener also work with cyanotype handmade photographs.
